Default Questions about factions

Not sure if this is the right place to post, but i think it is.

K it's been roughly 3 months since i played GW and i'm thinking of getting back into it and considering buying Factions. Read the official FaQ, (and obviously my questions were nt answered there) some reviews and so forth, they merely were enticing - which i suppose was their intention anyway.

(I basically quit GW coz the PvE content was getting boring, and the PvP content meant that you had to be in a good guild in order for anything serious to happen and at that time i couldn't leave the guild due to some strange commitments. )

Been browsing the threads, reading a few post here and there and have not really found anything that answered my question. I've seen alot of disgruntled ppl in the PvE area. My questions are

1. Is the game now more structured towards PvP or PvE? I'm getting the feeling that the alliance opens alot more content for pvp while the cantha province doesnt exactly do much.

2. How much does the alliance matter in the game?

3. Has the alliance changed the PvP content as much as the official/review sites claimed?

Thanks

well, factions seems to be herding you towards an pvp goal

and to get in the pve elite missions, be part of an massive pvp faction farming alliance.

so basically I think it revolves AROUND pvp more than prophecies ever did

Yes i agree.

Guild Wars says it all.

Though i enjoy PvP i mainly Play PvE. I would say that thought the PvE World is Awesome that PvP is the heart of the game.

As Mentioned by the poster Above me there are alliance missions.

our Guild is Currently Using the Alliance for some of our 70+ members to Start their own Guilds and then be able to ally themselves with our Starting Guild in order to be able to communicate in the PvE World through the Alliance Chat with Friends. it allows the smaller guild and indivduals who want to start one to keep a sense of community.

i say Right on Alliances! Bringing People Closer! Guild Wars just Ownz and we hope u enjoy. The New PvE is Much harder my friend who beat factions and the others all say. i know that island is rocking! all those new creatures.
